1) Roll Call Present: Jonas, Travis, Georg, Daniel, Larma 2) Agenda Bashing Daniel has two things from Editor which weren't on the original agenda. 3) Editor's Update * Last Call for XEP-0424 (Message Retraction) * Last Call for XEP-0425 (Message Moderation) Editor notes that these will expire after the holiday, in January, rather than the minimum two weeks. 4a) PR #1129 (XEP-0459: Replace deprecated XEP-0411 with XEP-0402) - https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1129 Jonas is generally for the change, but thinks there's an editorial mistake. Daniel asks whether changes have been made before to the Compliance Suites after they became Draft/Stable, but generally agrees on the change. Georg is a bit lost with all of the Bookmarks formats. Jonas thinks the goal should be pushing the Compliance Suites towards Final for the beginning of the next year. Georg agrees with making useful changes. Jonas thinks it's an obvious oversight because recommending a Deprecated protocol doesn't make sense. Georg: +1 Travis: +1 Daniel: +1 Jonas: +1 Larma: +1 Jonas and Daniel attempt to set up a new Spreadsheet of Doom. 4b) PR #1126 (XEP-0060: Release version 1.23.0) - https://github.com/xsf/xeps/pull/1126 Daniel thinks this is probably just editorial, but voting doesn't hurt. Travis notices that part of the change adds a MUST, but it appears to make sense and seems like the correct thing, and maybe implementations already do it this way - Jonas thinks it was previously undefined, and has seen some discussion suggesting it's not how all implementations work today. Larma hasn't thought it through completely, but expects a SHOULD might be more sensible - Travis thinks the MUST is necessary, otherwise you can't be sure what will happen. Jonas suggests Editor should inform the author that this should be put to the List first. Travis thinks there are two sensible options: either a full form is fetched and submitted, with no ambiguity over what was filled, or if a partial form is submitted then the service MUST change only those fields (and not others) - prefers the latter, but only if it doesn't make implementations non-compliant; Jonas notes that as this removes some implementation defined behaviour, it probably will make some implementation non-compliant. Daniel thinks this needs List discussion to see how implementations currently handle it. Travis will write something to the List. Jonas: +1 Daniel: [on-list] Georg: [on-list] Travis: [on-list] Larma: [pending] 5) Pending Votes None so far. 6) Date of Next 2021-12-15 1600 UTC Travis should be able to make it, but is starting a new job. Daniel thinks it might be the last meeting before the holiday, but that can be decided next week. 7) AOB None. 8) Close Thanks everyone, Daniel, Daniel, all, Daniel.
