Please help!!!

I am relatively new to the starmax and it's wonderful ways. I have a Starmax
3000/200, and a 4000/160 and a 3000/180. I use the 3000/200 at my home and the
others are for in my office. I recently purchased from ebay a Smart and
Friendly SpeedWriter Plus CDRW (SCSI) format. Then when we oenid the computer
to install the CDRW, that was when we first discovered that it had SCSI, IDE and
ATAPI platforms available. Anyhow, the Smart and friendly was supported by
Toast 4.1.3. This worked so very well that I got on ebay and purchased 2 more
Smart and Friendly (IDE) SpeedWriter CDRW's NOT SPEEDWRITER PLUS...AND NOT
SCSI!! After we installed them---they just will not work. The light comes on
the CRW whirls, but Toast does not recognize it, and of course no CD comes on.
Is there a macintosh driver out there anywhere for these Smart and Friendly?
The company is now out of business.

Also, I bought a Philips CDRW800 series (804K) CDRW for in the fourth StarMax.
Guess what---same problem. If anyone knows where a driver to fit these might
exist---I greatly appreciate any help you can give me.

PS- This forum is great!

Thank You
