Doug: Thanks- Termination was my first guess too- I tried changing that, then cracked the case and looked for any weird jumper settings- no luck- in fact, have tried it w/ everything removed from the scsi chain (internal and external) - except the zip- and still the same non- boot, terminated or non- terminated
