StarMax do not support slave drives. The maximum internal HDs are two and that depends on whether your cdrom drive is scsi or atapi (ide). If yours is atapi then you can replace it with a scsi and use that bus for another ide hd. I have two hds, 10G Seagate and 30G Maxtor. I recommend useing Apple Drive Setup utility to format hds. If you don't have a scsi cd drive and you do get one, be sure you get a Apple bootable scsi drive. That way you don't have to mess with 3rd party drivers (even if you can only find a refurbished one). Of course you can go external pci route with HDs. I use NewerTech G3-L2 300 card but you know they went bye bye. jr -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
