Hi, William.
I just realized your problem: your update CD is probably OK, but it will
look for a native G3 or G4, and won't work on a StarMax as installer.
You will have to root around the files and find the installer app for the
actual 9.1 update, and run that.  If it's not to be found, download from
Apple...
Either way, before you install, run Extension Manager and set it to the
'Apple OS All' extension set so your StarMax and other 3rd party extensions
won't be overwritten.
