DAMN PowerBook and AOL, I always hit the enter key while typing and it sends my mail before I'm done!!!!!! ------------------------------------------------- Hi Linda, First the link to the picture is http://members.aol.com/raywysocki/scsi.jpeg (you left the "c" out of my name) That's a picture I took a few years ago when someone first asked about the upgrade kit. The multi-color cable is what originally shipped in the StarMax (desktop) The blue/gray cable with the two circuit boards is the "upgrade" Motorola shipped. It was modified slightly to improve airflow in the cramped desktop. The cable was originally about 4 feet long with seven SCSI connectors on it, since that was a lot to cram inside and there is no room for additional devices inside the desktop I shortened it to just the two connectors.
I'm not sure but I believe the terminator you mention was a standard SCSI terminator that could be attached to the rear of the computer. There was something wrong with the internal termination and that's what the "Upgrade" fixed. You could also put a terminator on the end of the SCSI chain (that's what I had to do to use my zip drive before I installed the upgrade) Ray -- StarMax is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> StarMax list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/starmax.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/starmax%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
