Hi again,
Well, I sent my 3000/200 off to DT&T for which ever
replacement was necessary. As it turned out it WAS the Motherboard
and can be replaced for $125. $25. labor for getting their hands
slightly soiled. So after I speak to "TD" today I'll probably
authorize him to go ahead and replace the MB. My question to the list
is: the 3000 comes with a single 32meg Dimm in the Ram Slot. Based on
current prices for RAM what would be the most effective upgrade for
me to consider. Apparently 160megs of RAM is the max, but I'm not
sure I want to go that far for a gift. So, what would be the best use
of RAM memory at what price? I've not had to buy RAM memory in some
time.
http://www.everymac.com/systems/motorola/starmax3000/starmax3000_200mt.html
has the complete lowdown on the specs for this machine.
I could ask DT&T to install the additional RAM or do it
myself if I knew which Dimms to buy! Any suggestions??
I'll be watching the list for thoughts from anyone.....

                                Jim
