OK, I finally got around to checking it out, and indeed, I had the 64 in a single banked slot. I switched them and registered 160MB in "About this Mac." Motorola is a bit odd I think. They make this tower with plenty of room for upgrading, and then put this case that's hard to open and put the default 32MB chip in the dual banked slot. Hello? Anyway, I'm enjoying running 9.1 on my newly revived Starmax. If I get carried away, i'll put in a G3 processor and run OS X with the "unsupported" utility from OWC. Next on my list though is to paint the case. I'm thinking Jaguar.
