Last weekend I picked up a Starmax 3000/180 at a swap meet for $10.00.
Since I already run a PM4400/200 as my email machine, I figured no matter
what happened one can never have too many 3.3v DIMMS!

Tonight I threw in a HD, CDROM, replaced the memory (plus one of my spares)
and plugged it in. Absolutely nothing, not even a HD spin-up. Before I go
tearing into the power supply looking for a blown fuse, would a
dead/missing PRAM battery do this? I am not as familiar with the Tanzania
as I am other Macs, but I seem to recall this as possible.

Also, this is a special power supply, is it not? The 3.3v supply isn't
standard with a PC, or is it with the ATX form factor? I guess I'd better
advance my knowledge another generation!!

Anyway, thanks for any information you can send my way. I am on digest, so
apologies if I don't answer right away. Don Bowers, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
