I have a Starmax 3000 and a Starmnax 5000 and both of them needed their PRAM batteries replaced just about 5 years after I bought the machines new. My Apple Performa 6300 uses the exact same PRAM battery but I need to change that battery every three years. I keep all of these computers plugged into the UPS and turn them on and off from the power button. e.rosbooks
