My point was simply that the PRAM battery is exactly that; the PRAM 
battery. . A 5 pound battery can have more amp capacity, but that isn't 
what's being used.

I hadn't denied the existence of trickle chargers, or the similarity of 
the circuits, I just said keeping thing separable is critical to good 
and accurate understanding--like what's needed in troubleshooting.
