I'd like to add something to the post I made for Mr. Rosbooks. When I changed the PRAM battery in my StarMax, about 4 years after I bought it, I did so after experiencing intermittent clock problems for a few weeks. The battery I removed measured 3.35 volts, even though it was still able to maintain all the other necessary StarMax functions. I used to turn off my computer with the power button and then unplug it from the wall, after having a VCR destroyed by a lightening strike to my TV antenna.
I have been told that Radio Shack sells a plastic holder for 4 AA batteries which be easily converted into a 3 battery holder to replace the PRAM battery. It is necessary though to save the connector from the original PRAM battery so the new holder will connect to the board easily. drscheiner __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
