Hello Folks

I really am not a computer genius ( which Is why I have been with Mac since
1984) and I have a problem that perhaps someone can help me with.

I own 5 Starmaxes.
   a. 4000/200 mini-tower 160 MB RAM system 8.6
   b. 4000/200 mini-tower 96 MB RAM system 8.6
   c. 3000/200 desktop 160 MB RAM system 8.6 and Cresendo G-3 card
installed
   d. 3000/180 desktop 160 MB RAM system 9.0
   e. 3000/200 desktop 96 MB RAM system 8.6

I just purchased high speed cable internet service from Charter
communications. When they cam to hook up the service, they told me that I had
to have an ethernet card installed. Several of the machines had ethernet cards
in them when I bought them from other individuals. Two computers had ASANTI
FAST cards (Revision C and E), one machine had an ethernet card with a Macintosh
logo imprinted on the chip, and the last computer had a RTL8139C ethernet card
installed. I downloaded drivers for each of these cards (except the one with
the Macintosh logo---which I could not find).

The problem is that none of these cards work. I have swapped them out and
tried them each on each computer and each different system. The computer(s)
simply refuse to recognize the cards. I tried them in each and every slot on
each machine, under each system, with the cable modem and without it...etc

I'M LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need Help Desperately. All help will be appreciated.

Thank You

Vernon
