I have an HP 550C Printer that has been connected to my Starmax via a round 9-pin connector. I would like to connect the printer to my new Power Mac G4 which has USB inputs. Does anyone know of an adapter module or cable that will do this? If I understand correctly, the adapter has to translate serial Apple Talk to parallel USB. I had found one from Star Tech, mod.VWIMCUSB232 that I thought might work but the mfg. says it won't work above MAC OS 8.6. I also assume I will need new printer software. Is the only solution a new printer?
