There was a series they called DeskWriter. Initially B&W and several 
color models made for serial Macs followed, all with great drivers. Their 
first color printer was 3 color, (no black) & didn't do real great. But 
the 4 colors were just fine. Don't know what OS version they went up to.

There were some Mac serial to parallel printer adapters, too. Grappler 
was one, PowerPrint (prob got the name wrong) made a good one, too. 'Bout 
$100 new, but you could could plug into and drive most printers, most 
anywhere.
