I finally took the plunge and bought a used G4 450 AGP.
Now I am wondering what to do with my StarMax 4200 DT, 80 MB, 6.8 GB and 260 MHz G3 Joe upgrade card. Can I still get some money for this machine ? It is in great shape and I still have the original keyboard, CD and box. I also have the SCSI kit from Motorola.
Is there a market for this machine or the [EMAIL PROTECTED] joeCard by itself ?
I wouldn't mind using it as a Linux box but I don't think Linux will recognize the joeCard. Also, the only current Linux for PPC does not seem to support these older machines ? I have an older version of LinuxPPC that I bought a couple years ago.
I tried installing MacOS 9.2 but got a message that it was not supported on my StarMax.
What is the latest MacOS that will install without major hacks ?
Does anyone have Linux running with a G3 upgrade card in a StarMax ?
Is anyone interested in buying this machine ?
Cheers
Chris
