Hi:

One day my trusty SM3000 wouldn't start. Pressing the power button
produced nothing.

Having read this list, I knew it was the battery.

I purchased a replacement battery, plugged it in, plugged in all my
cables that I had removed, pressed the CUDA switch and sure enough, it
started -- sort of.

The hard drive spins for a second, then stops. Nothing appears on the
screen (it is lit, but I can see it's not getting a signal).

I tried booting from a CD, but it doesn't even get to the point where
it's looking for a startup disk.

I'm stumped -- any suggestions?

John
