If I understand you, the adapter you need allows you to plug a monitor with an older Apple plug DB-15 (2 rows of pins) into the StarMax which has a VGA HD-15 (3 rows of pins) receptacle. Griffin has their Mac Connect <http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/monitor_adapters/index.html> adapter. The issue with this adapter is that it Will NOT Work with Apple's older monitors, such as the 13" High-Resolution RGB Display, Macintosh 16" Display, Macintosh Color Two-Page Display, Macintosh 14" Color Display, and the Performa Plus Display. Apple has not manufactured single-frequency monitors like these since 1994.

Speaking of adaptors. . .

I just put a new battery in the Starmax and anxious to flash it up
discovered that I need an adaptor where the male end is the PC-type
and the female end accepts older monitor style pin plug.

I have three 'dongles' but on my adaptors, the female end is the PC-type end
and for the Starmax the female port in the computer is the PC type.

Any source ideas, preferably on the west coast?

Thanks,
Terry
