First time posting to this list, so here we go: I am planning on upgrading my Starmax 4000/200 tower and was recently told this, in an enquiry, which explains the type of upgrade I have in mind and contains the questions want to pose to you, who I am sure have more knowlage than I at the moment :
<The FireWire card and the Orange Micro FW/USB card is fine in the Starmax and our kit is fine with the firewire card or course. What OS are your using on the Starmax? 9.1 would be best for USB and FireWire support, although 8.6 is capable as well.> Question: I am running 8.2.2 OS, yet would need to upgrade. Will the machine take 8.6 or 9.1, any down side if so?? And, besides that does anyone have experience of this upgrade, if indeed it will take the OS? Many thanks for replies.
