SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO GO INTO YOUR EXTENSIONS MANAGER and ensure that these extensions are turned on. Open up the information popup at the bottom of the extensions window for information agout each extension -- click on the "i". Two of the extensions critical to CD reading are: High Sierra File Extension Foreign File Access iso 9660 Extension icccodes HID Library Something like those as well. . . can't remember- - but there are 4 of them critical to the CD ROM. You can also open up Extensions Disabled folder in the System Folder to see which ones are inactive and have been placed there according to what has been turned on in the Extensions Manager.
