Hi Bill, CARBON LIB Look for version 1.6 http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/System/Other_System/ OPEN TRANS. Look for 2.7.6 http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html QUICKTIME Go with version 6.0.3 and OS 9.1 ACROBAT READER 5.0 MRJ (Macintosh Runtime Java) Update to 2.2.5 I use 9.1 with a 604e and it is fine, and so should you be too. Don't bother with 9.2.1 or 9.2.2. The extra ".1" that takes 9.2.1 to 9.2.2 is only necessary for Classic mode where OS 10 is installed -- Finder compatibility. But on a Starmax3000, a 603 CPU DID seem sluggish and made me determined to go back to 8.6. in that case. But for you, go 9.1.
