The battery is still available as is a longer one which fits as well and
will probably last longer. The last time I tried Radio Shack they just
looked at me funny but I went on down the street to a store which deals
only in batteries and asked for the Ray O Vac battery and they found the
replacement immediately. I guess there is nothing like going to the people
who know their products. This was Pacific Batteries and I don't know if
they are in your area or not but there must be a battery store. This one
stocks batteries for everything from watches to big trucks and construction
equipment.
