Thank you for looking. I think the enabler along with the cd-rom driver ~ aren't in the actual installer but elsewhere on the original cd, though that's only a guess since I've never seen a StarMax cd.

Too late :-/ I've already use several search engine, old archie servers and such like and if it's available for download it's pretty well hidden.
