right, but when I select shutdown either from Finder, Special/Shutdown, or keyboard power/shutdown, the OS shuts down (black screen) but the power stays on.... all fans running etc... and the only way to stop it is to unplug. Similarly, when I plug the power in, the machine starts up right away without waiting for me to press any power button.
The G3 works nice now though... my only outstanding issue is this power thing. I suspect either a power supply or mainboard power switch circuitry problem.
