Browser. . . I use Internet Explorer 5.1.7 and it serves me well on ADSL.
I'm afraid that that is one piece of software I refuse to use!
The newer versions of Netscape (7.x and the 8.x betas) are based on Mozilla, and Netscape provides OS 9.x binaries for download. It's not as "open source" as Mozilla itself, but Mozilla stopped OS 9.x releases at 1.2.x, iirc.
