The connectors for ATPI and SCSI are different.  You apparently obtained
another  drive and installed it.  If you find a SCSI drive to install it
will not use the same cable as the ATPI and will then free up the connector
to which the ATAPI CD-ROM was installed.  These SCSI drives should be
available on eBay.
