I'd love to see some sites emerge that allow file upload / posting via
AtomPub + OAuth, since this will allow richer FOAF files to be
published automatically without requiring external sites to know user
passwords. Is the idea to make AtomPub for simple posting only, or
also for things like media uploads?

Do you expect to support AtomPub
with OAuth credentials?
Eventually, but probably just HTTP Basic at first.
