Here's an idea to squeeze another use out of StatusNet's peopletags feature.
As things are, I can assign "peopletags" to my subscriptions (and to my subscribers as it happens). I could, say, tag @hex, @br3nda, @maymaym, @evan, @csarven, etc with #statusnet. I have virtually no reason to do so of course, because peopletags aren't really used anywhere. (OK, so there's a way of addressing messages like @#statusnet, but I rarely see anybody use that.) However, it would be great if I could go to: http://identi.ca/tobyink/peopletag/statusnet/all And see the equivalent of my "/all", but filtered down to show only the people I've tagged #statusnet. For bonus points, http://identi.ca/tobyink/peopletag/statusnet/none would do the opposite - filter *out* people tagged #statusnet. Personally I'd find this a very handy feature. Some of the people I subscribe are very, shall we say, chatty, and while they have a lot of interesting things to say, so I wouldn't want to unsubscribe, I don't like how they flood my screen (both the web interface and XMPP), making me miss the occasional notice from the less chatty people. By tagging people #infrequent I would give myself a special page that I can visit to make sure I've not missed anything by them. -- Toby A Inkster <mailto:m...@tobyinkster.co.uk> <http://tobyinkster.co.uk> _______________________________________________ StatusNet-dev mailing list StatusNet-dev@lists.status.net http://lists.status.net/mailman/listinfo/statusnet-dev
