I received it and sent the confirmation, but perhaps I did something wrong
because after giving confirmation again now, I can see the new ticket
form. Thank you for your help.

I don't understand why I have to install an extension in my browser just
for something as simple as posting a little text at identi.ca, but if it
is you decision I respect it.

Ok. Please, try to keep in mind the people that don't use the last browser
version for a lot of reasons (not availabe in the distro, standar platform
in the organization, not supported for that cellphone version...), can't
install extensions (no permissions, accesibility problems...) or just use
other browsers (lynks, opera, seamonkey, amaya...).

An extra option in StatusNet will solve all this situations at once. Also
every time you post from a computer/device that is not your. I agree that
geolocation feature is not negative, but I also think it is important to
try to not bother users. To publish personal data by default when in most
cases it isn't interesting nor useful at all the exact location of the
user, in my opinion, is a wrong decision. The right one would be to offer
that cool (and sometimes useful option) but not enabled by default. Like
this image but with the checkbox unchecked:

Sorry in advance if this is not the right place to talk about this new
feature of StatusNet.

I reloaded the page and instead of Eibar (at 40 km from me in that moment)
I get Vitoria (at 65 km from me right now). I thought it was because I
changed my location but as Evan has explained in other message, what was
happening is that now my real location is not showed.

Later I will check again with FF 3.0 + stinky Google Gears (from a third
location) and I will see what happens...

If my location at identi.ca is always the same and calculated from the
Location field in my profile, I agree with that. But the problem about the
real location by default persist.

As I explained later, I think that the "extra option" is needed and that
should be disabled by default. If not, I think that this should be
mentioned in the TOS to ensure you are not breaking the law in some
countries.
