Queues went a little wonky overnight; we pushed up the thread count this

It looks like our biggest bottleneck has been from ejabberd eating up
gobs of memory and dying, then causing all the queue daemons to get
backed up trying to reconnect to it.
Most of the queues are now caught back up; jabber and real-time web
updates still a little behind. If we can't get ejabberd more stable
shortly we might go ahead and switch it to prosody which should be more
flexible.
(Next major step on the queue development is allowing us to use a
component model for the XMPP communications, which'll reduce the number
of connections to the server we need to handle multiple sites down to
one per thread, with the caveat that we need to handle more presence and
subscription info ourselves... but really we pretty much maintain
subscriptions anyway in the user's jabber settings, so this shouldn't
hurt too bad.)

(Note also that some xmpp clients may be confused by notices being sent
from multiple processing threads; only known prob so far as with Psi,
which pops up extra chat windows. Looking into a workaround if possible
until we make further improvements to xmpp to use component mode.)

Guys,
See #2156 and #2159 in trac.
Short form: Since identi.ca updated to newest version, twitter sync has
stopped working and XMPP doesn't work as it seems in both directions
(getting timeline, posting entries).
I would consider this a major problem.
Any info on what's going on?
