I think we could take it a step further and have it be a plugin that extends
the user settings page, add a checkbox (or something), then have a daemon
run. Also could take elements from [site][design] and the avatars to make
the emails all pretty (also with useful links like reply, fav, etc)

This could be very useful for the instances where SN is installed in a
corporation where 3rd party clients wouldn't be allowed.
