I've been passively following this mailing list for sometime now. I
recently had some free time on my hands and was looking at some of the
blueprints to see if I could do something.
The DSO blueprint seems simple enough for me:

It mentions that work has started and Thomas is the assignee. I had a look
at the deep-sky branch on launchpad but I couldn't locate any recent
relevant commits.
What is the progress on this blueprint? Any pointers on where to start?
