Yes I know you have a clean build. But don't forget that stellarium looks in
the user area for any "last minute changes". You also have the environment
variables that list all the places Windows should look for data. I build the
release version only. The development version calls for a different splash. Is
that the reason?
I don't quite get what you mean by which cmake the compiling instruction calls
for Cmake 2.8 and that is the one I have always used although I think
cmake-2.8.1 is the current version.
