I think mainly because we don't have regular builds for other distros.
 While I think that supporting one distro and not others may appear
somewhat prejudicial, that's what we currently have... Maybe it will
inspire users of other distros to contribute their own regular builds.
 If we start to get too many, the ubuntu link might have to be
replaced to a link to a page of linux binary downloads.  However, for
now that's not a problem.
