Hi Alex

For the fourth time I deleted mingw and re-installed it from the down-loader.
This time I ticked the msys tools box too.
I got a mingw folder twice the size as before and the bin sub-folder had all
the missing files that I was short of before
(except zlib) and the include folder had the missing libintl.h header.

I recompiled stellarium and it bombed when it could not find zlib components. I
installed zlib-1.2.3.exe into mingw and
re-compiled stellarium. This time it compiled without any problem.

Where have you got zlib installed. It is probable somewhere else in the path.
that would account for the variation in the
stellarium.iss file
