If reading a JSON already works, transforming alt/az text lists to JSONs should be simple enough for users. Which one is the best to use? Another thought involves sampling the landscape texture if it is transparent at a location. (It may allow better true-landscape sunrise etc. predictions) Can this be done via a StelTexture?
