I had thought so, with some hope that in the final release ANGLE will be
usable for the weaker Windows side. Not sure if all works now.

The date issue is seriously bad and must be fixed before a release!
Basically this implies writing a replacement class (of course based on a
JD number). OTOH, this can offer some extra calendrical functionality
(later!)... Who is working on this, and in which branch?

The basic GUI/widget classes are deprecated and will likely vanish in some
later Qt release. Any plans/insights to move to QML2?
