I thought about this as well and I had to install quilt but I thought I
shouldn't really reject a test if a tool is missing. In general, the
test suite is meant for developers rather than end users. Maybe some
test and skipping the test entirely if not present.

Another thing I noticed was that on Mac, the quilt version I installed
via homebrew didn't have an "init" command.
