Congratulations!!!
Once you start you can never stop.
My suggestion is that you get some books from your
nearest library, buy more when you're sure where you're
heading.
Start on a semi soft stone first i.e. limestome or
similar Buy some second-hand chisels and a rasp with a
good handle on it.
Then go for it, remembering to wear a dust mask and
safety goggles. I started working stone a year ago and
have progressed from soft to limestone and marble, using
second hand tools. I have just brought some electric
tools to help me with my fine detail etc. I have also
made sure I hunted out like minded people like myself
and we have brought stone together to save on freight
and talked through ideas. I live in a resonably isolated
place, I assure there will be many people who will go
out of their way to help and inspire you.
