Hello, I have a few sites and I signed up for Google alerts. Starting
last spring I got a few alerts that showed one of my domains listed as
if in a blog post, as part of string that always starts with Nick: and
then a word and some numbers and then some phrases and then my domain
name along with other unrelated domains. I was getting these alerts
rarely at first, maybe two or three a month, I never went to the site
because the content of the alert was all pretty much nonsense. The
alerts started coming in more frequently until now I receive maybe a
dozen a week. They are all from different domains and the all end in
a number as in http://www.domain.com/directory/directory/keyword##.htm
Around August I took some time to check them out a little better and
was landing on a page that had a flash image of a "Spyware scan" so I
filed some reports in my Webmaster Tools acct. I submitted about a
half a dozen reports there. The problem I have is that filing these
reports requires me to go to Google search, type in the phrase that
they appear to be targeting, copy down the Google URL where the domain
was found along with the search phrase and then the URL where I get
redirected to and then write a report of what I observed. I have a
very busy schedule and really don't have the time to spend half an
hour researching and reporting on all these sites; sometimes they come
in three and four at a time. I submitted some to StopBadware.org
also, that was faster, but it still requires me to visit the download
site and I do not feel comfortable putting my system in jeopardy to
research these sites.
My question is: Is there a place where these URLs can be submitted to
folks who enjoy checking them out - or at least are better equipped to
deal with them?
Thank you.
