KFOR: [T]he operation had been a success.
Anti-NATO extremists can mock on, but better to look
at the glass as being one one-thousandth full than as
being nine-hundred-ninety-ninth empty.
Right, Major K.?

Kosovo amnesty nets 800 weapons
United Nations police in Kosovo say about eight
hundred weapons have been handed in under a month-long
amnesty which expired today Monday.
Most were hand guns, but there were also machine guns,
anti-tank bazookas, grenades and land-mines - as well
as thousands of rounds of ammunition.
A spokesman for the Nato-led peacekeeping force K-For
said there was a weapons culture in Kosovo, and no-one
had thought the amnesty would bring them in by the
truckload.
Nonetheless, he said, the operation had been a
success. From now on, under recently introduced laws,
anyone caught in illegal possession of firearms faces
up to ten years in prison and a heavy fine.
