All who support the sovereignty of people, all who believe in the right of self-determination must cringe at the criminal way in which Yugoslavia was destabilized, divided up, bombed, bought, and now forced to give up the man who fought and rallied the Serbian people against all of this. The spin doctors were working overtime; at a vigil against torture mounted in Washington, DC last night, the people sitting in actually cheered when they heard that Milosevic had been arrested. The media lies are so complete that Americans actually believe that this was an act of justice, not an international war crime. I spoke to a Serbian friend yesterday, and he was so wounded by this act of terrorism. And so many people on the side of decency still believe that spineless Kostunica really cared. It splits those even in the know, those who love Yugoslavia, this insertion of the "elected " "Constitutionalist" Kostunica who weakly, tragically, philosophically opposes this travesty. But for all those who feel this humiliation, who realize that Imperial Rome is dragging a defiant provincial opponent through the streets for the Roman throngs to spit on and desecrate, I ask, "Who is humiliated by this?" Because the liars and the murderers and the criminals who created this scenario are the ones who are degraded by this crime. The howling harpies of the Western Press have lied, the Generals have allowed another cultural genocide, siding with sadists and slave traders, and the politicians have engineered another victory for greed and mendacity. The comradors in Yugoslavia have sold thier nation out for money in plain view of the people who see them as traitors and puppets. All is clear to thise who can see the truth. last weekend there was a program in New York City on Korea, the Korean Truth Commission. Here are perople who lost three and one half million civilians to US bombs and the comprador South Korean government from 1948 to 1953. One and one half million Korean soldiers were killed. This was a genocide that went unacknowledged by the world for fifty years! But they are uniteds now in anger and determination to bring to light the truth about Korea. From the perspective of the Korean struggle, it seems clear that the humiliation here was not the people who suffered, but it is reserved exclusively for the perpetrators of the crime. The Yugoslavs are not mere victims; they fought back and they will continue to fight back.
