I agree that a system SMI-S for Solaris would automatically pick up
the target. It's just that I need to monitor that effort and ensure
the work occurs.
Another area which is similar to SMI-S in my mind is FMA. It's a
Solaris wide effort which I need to monitor. At this point I'm not
sure if there will be any changes required in the daemon.

That was really more of a general feature musing on my part for
Solaris as a whole, which iscsitgt would certainly be a part of. A
SMI-S CIMOM for solaris would dovetail well with the way solaris is
headed in the storage world. As for the tech behind /providing/ SMI-
S, that's a mystery that I'm trying to unravel for myself, but I'm
sure the people who work on Enterprise Storage Manager could lend
some advice on.
