Basically it's still a "proof of concept". What I would like to have in
the end is a central storage server serving block-based targets to several
zones on different boxes as root fs. For now I only have one system
available for testing (X2100M2 2x2.2GHz w/4GB memory).

The easiest thing I can time is the setup time of a 'lx' zone. This takes
considerably more time when running on a ZFS backend compared to an UFS
backend, strangely. Also, the 'yum' process just stops on the ZFS backend,
and not on the UFS backend.

I'll do some benchmarks and post the results. The global zone running the
iSCSI target never gets more than 10-15% CPU load though when installing
the 'lx' zone. Even stranger, when using the exact same disk configuration
but installing a Solaris zone it completes fairly quick.

As soon as I have the box up&running I'll do the tests and report back.

Regards,
Rutger
