I can't remember where does ZFS sit in relation to SD? I can't imagine this is
iSCSI specific. Do you know if you see the same problem with Fiber-Channel?
SD in general doesn't handle resizing of LUNs. There was a project rumored to
resolve that in the future. So if ZFS is supposed to be handling the resizing
you might want to repost this question over on the ZFS Discussion Group,

able to give you better advice.
