Heh, cause it was in a presentation I found online by Ryan Matteson (link not handy). The initiator was (apparently) being *very* slow in mapping the devices. The command "iscsiadm list target -S" was reporting the blank line instead of the mapping details for 5+ minutes before I tried the "devfsadm -Cv -i iscsi" command, which then took 5+ minutes to complete. I will try to identify the source of the slowness using the instructions you provided in the previous email. I appreciate your help very much.
