Nigel,

It is true that we as a company stay away from OpenSolaris because the thought 
is that the official Solaris is the more stable of the two.  This particular 
case would suggest the opposite is true.  I'll still continue to lean toward 
Solaris and I was surprised to see the bug from January 07 in the 1st release 
of the iscsi target software that was released in August 07.  I would have 
thought they may have used the fixed version from OpenSolaris, but there may 
have been some sort of timing issue where a code freeze was in affect at the 
time the bug was discovered.  Another surprise is that it wasn't discovered 
during the time before the August 07 release, did they not test it against a 
Win2k box?  In any event they are working on it now and they'll provide and IDR 
hopefully.
