Ditto here.  We were ready to go live with ZFS+ISCSI this past weekend when we 
came across this same problem.  It felt like opening a shiny new toy on 
Christmas day only to discover that we didn't have any batteries :-).  Thanks 
for your invaluable info Nigel.  I hope Sun jumps on this.
