I am getting "Kernel bind failure" on some reboots from svcadm enable
smb/server. When this happens the process is shown running however no listener
is created on 445.

- I did a truss capture on the /usr/lib/smbsrv/smbd start and have some
questions
one error had a string "smb_dwncall_??" . I can't find any reference to this
in the source browser??

- In the truss i saw a /devices/psuedo/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:smbsrv with a ENOENT,
which means "#define ENOENT 2 /* No such file or directory
*/" and truly the device does not exist?? Can someone say what portion is
responsible to create this device?

- I also saw a ENOENT to libsmb_passwd.so.1 which could not be found on the
system or in the source browser? Can one of the CIFS developers shed some light?

maybe all I need is to create the device or add the package containing
libsmb_passwd.so.1.
