Hi all,
I have a QLogic QLA2200 fibre channel (copper, HSSDC connector, single channel)
host bus adapter that I am trying to use in a SPARC Enterprise M4000. The
system does not seem to want to recognize the PCI card. The same model card
works in a Sun Fire V245. On the M4000, I can use cfgadm to connect the card,
but it cannot configure, failing with the error "cfgadm: Hardware specific
failure: configure failed". When cfgadm indicates that the card is connected
but not configured, I can see that the status LEDs are as follows for the PCI-X
slot: power is green and fault is amber blinking.
Any ideas? Is this PCI card just not compatible with the M4000? This card is
known to be working in other systems.
